Hi! I’m Amelia

I’ve been painting for over twenty years (self-taught) and I’ve spent the last three years experimenting with various styles, and learning new techniques. On my most recent birthday, I decided I wanted to create a collection.

34 cohesive pieces of artwork, to celebrate turning 34. But what subject matter? I needed something that could capture my attention and enthusiasm for 34 pieces.

Right away, I though of fantasy. I’ve been an avid reader my entire life, but I fell out of the habit for a good few years. When my partner introduced me to Brandon Sanderson, I fell back into reading with a gleeful fervour. I’d missed becoming so engrossed with a story that you absolutely can’t put it down.

Six years later and I am still reading ardently, only now the stories I love are beginning to find their way onto the canvas. All 34 paintings of the new collection will feature dragons, beginning with Tairn from Fourth Wing.

With 33 paintings left to go, I have no idea where this series will lead me, but I have never been more clear or more in love with painting than I am now.
